Mission Statement
The Healthy Yankton group encourages lifelong, healthy, active lifestyles by
providing education, support and opportunities for individuals and groups in
the Yankton area to improve or maintain their health.
Upcoming Events

The first Community
Garden is
being cultivated by Healthy Yankton with a grant from the
Avera Health Community Service Fund.
The Community Garden is located along Yankton's West City Limits Road, on
City Parks land near the location of the former rodeo grounds.
Yankton Community
Gardeners: Watch for your opportunity to reserve your garden spot beginning
January 1, 2010!

All first time
gardeners interested in
learning more about the Community Garden are encouraged to attend an informal
meeting on Monday, March 1st, 2010 at 5:30 pm
at the Avera Sacred Heart Pavilion Auditorium. First come, first serve
registration for remaining plots will occur following the presentation.
You are not obligated to rent
a space by attending. More information can be obtained in the
Healthy Yankton Community Garden 2010 Schedule, the
Healthy Yankton Community Garden 2010 Rules, and the
Healthy Yankton Community Garden Map.
If you are unable to attend the forum, you may call 605 668-8590 for
additional information.
The Community
Garden was made possible with cooperation from Healthy Yankton, the City of
Yankton, Dogs R Us 4-H Club, Santa Claus Lane Committee, Yankton Minimum Unit,
Mark's Machinery and the Master Gardeners.
